December 2, 2019 - Harry Edohouwka is set to release his compelling debut album “Fire On The Mountain” on December 11th. Appropriately released in winter, the self-reflective album takes listeners down a path of introspection and self-love. This time of year lends to the strongest internal dialogue; Harry speaks to past mistakes he’s made and the light of hope that exists in each of these mistakes, propelling us into genuine excitement for the present moment. Every occasion offers an opportunity to begin again, to learn, and to make a new choice. The mindshift he’s experienced has offered this album incredible depth, movement, and intense relatability. Coining a sound all his own, Harry sprinkles notes of Hip Hop, Reggae, and Alternative Rock into a larger than life sound which creates Kanye West-esque theatricality and tone. Lyrics like “The devil and my doubt were holding hands” from his song “Did you not Pray?” further demonstrate the struggle, turmoil, and growth that went into this album, boldly inviting listeners within.

The genre-less style that Harry offers is not only unique, but also offers a deep understanding of both Hip Hop and Rock. His lyrics are deeply personal, humanizing him right from the start among a bold, saturated production style. Family and immersion in the present moment are focal points for Harry’s daily life; he takes this with him as he creates an irreplaceably authentic sound. Harry is first generation American from Nigeria. While born in Dallas, TX, he highly values holding true to his family’s roots. This in mind, his choice to pursue an unconventional career route has created conflict within the family unit, as his parents sacrificed so much while expecting him to pursue a stable and financially successful career path. Harry’s choice to go after a higher purpose is something he hopes will inspire fans who find themselves in a similar scenario. When listening to Harry’s work, you can feel the fuel behind his words; the passion is ever present from track to track. “I thought I escaped the old me, but he was always there.” Harry goes onto say - “This record was me coming to terms with this forever tussle I’m in. I’m the one who breaks the chains and the same one who ties me up. I am the fire on the mountain.”

Named by the Austin Chronicle as one of this year’s Must See Artists at SXSW, Harry headlined the Hotel Vegas stage with Jackie Venson and White Denim, as well as headlining KUTX’s premiere Austin Hip-Hop showcase SXSWBREAKS and Love Lockdown. Becoming one of Austin’s premiere artists in under a year, Harry has expanded nationally with shows at Los Angeles’ Peppermint Club, a nearly sold out show in Dallas’s Double Wide as well as Denver’s biggest music festival The Underground Music Showcase.
