Progressive Fashion & Lifestyle Brand SWISH AUTHENTICS Partners with the Cleveland Cavaliers for Custom Clothing Launch
December 31, 2021 - Introducing a progressive approach to NBA merchandise, rising clothing brand SWISH AUTHENTICS is excited to highlight the development of their collaboration with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their Team Issued Collection is an initiative developed to push the boundaries of fashion in sportswear and fan apparel. Led by Creative Director Jason Vu, the brand demonstrates the fruitful potential as a AAPI-led high end streetwear brand. Through this program, SWISH forms strategic partnerships with sports teams to design and produce projects and collections tailored exclusively to the specifications of the team. This concept creates a unique experience for the more fashion conscious fanbase. SWISH offers fans uniquely customized designs born out of direct collaboration with the Cavaliers.
SWISH redefines modern and vintage silhouettes through a strong focus on distinct designs, quality materials, and craftsmanship. Often compared to high level brands like KITH or Ambush, SWISH incorporates an artistic touch to standard athletic merchandise. Inspired by other Asian American designers like the late Jonas Bevacqua of LRG as well as Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE, Jason Vu hopes that his own success story helps to inspire the next generation of Asian American designers. After launching his first t-shirt brand in 2008, Jason went on to pursue an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Global Business, making him a seamless fit for the SWISH Authentics collaboration. Following the launch of SWISH in 2017, Jason brought SWISH COO Kelvin Chu on board in 2021 to help take things to new heights. As a 17+ year entertainment industry veteran, Kelvin keeps a close pulse on the changing shifts in culture. Acquiring hands-on experience with merch sales while working for some of the biggest names in music (Interscope, Far East Movement, Paul Oakenfold, etc) has helped him to develop a keen eye for what products will actually move the needle.
