November 23, 2020 - A perfect follow-up to his popular “quarantine tapes” that released at peak quarantine, Hip Hop artist danny G reflects on the ups and downs of 2020 in his follow up project “quarantine tapes 2”. Slated to release on Thursday December 10th, “quarantine tapes 2” offers a raw and open dialogue where danny shares an intimate glimpse into his world. This year has been an emotional one for many and danny feels the best way to embrace the turbulence is to share his experiences with fans. “It’s been a roller coaster of a year filled with hardships and obstacles, but at the same time there really have been some moments of beauty and growth.” says danny. Much like his initial “quarantine tapes”, danny tapped into introspection while producing and writing the project from his bedroom.

Book-ended by voice memos recorded on his phone, the project offers a versatile variety of Trap, Hip Hop and Alt Pop. Opening up with some of his favorite lyrics, he asks “What’s beauty without struggle, what’s rain without puddles, what’s questions without answers, what’s defeat without rebuttal” he pushes a theme of hope and silver lining. The stripped down project seamlessly aligns with danny’s ethos and ability to remain authentic and approachable. His minimalist approach prioritizes conceptual lyrics so that people who listen can gain a greater understanding of who he is and the hope he has for everyone moving forward. It’s been a tough year but we have to keep our head high and look forward to brighter days in 2021.

danny G’s lively music has garnered a steady flow of support since 2019. He has landed on popular YouTube channel Rap City, TIDAL editorials' Alternative Hip Hop' & Rising Hip Hop playlists, as well as multiple Spotify editorials. Leaning into his uniquely coined 'flow pop' sound, danny continues to offer fans a seamless combination of relatable pop and hip hop.
